Every single element has been carefully studied in order to guarantee a high level of professionalism and a high quality wine: an accurate selection of grapes, the cooperation with an important oenology firm and the natural processes of production come along with the Tenute Girolamo’s long time experience.
A won challenge.
Immersed in the green of the Itria Valley, ‘Tenute Girolamo’ estate represents a real example of passion for wine and entrepreneurship. The project was born in 2000, when Mr. Michele Girolamo received as inheritance 3 hectares of Verdeca grapes and decided to make some wine for his friends and for himself. At that time the vineyards in Puglia were planted with the vine rows far away from each other, but as a good entrepreneur, Mr. Girolamo decided to create something more professional: the challenge was to make a great wine and to produce it on Puglia’s land. Therefore, within next 4 years he bought other 50 hectares of land utilizing it for high-density planting, capable of bearing about 12.300 vines per hectare.
