The charming beauty of the Itria valley and the historical italian winery tradition: these are the essential elements which made unique the Tenute Girolamo estates, where the cultivation of the grapes and the production of a great wine represent the real passions of a lifetime. Every single element has been studied in order to guarantee the production of a very high level wine: the accurate selection of grapes, the cooperation with an important oenology firm and the natural process of growing come along with the Tenute Girolamo long time experience.
A won challenge.
Deep inside the green Itria Valley, the Tenute Girolamo represent a real example of the love for the wine and of the entrepreneurial activity. The project was born in 2000, when Mr. Michele received as inheritance 3 hectares of verdeca grapes and decided to make some wine for his friends and himself. At that time the vineyards in Puglia were realized with the grapes' rows far away one from the other, but Mr. Girolamo soon decided to create something more professional; the challenge was to create a great wine on the Puglia's land. Within 4 years Mr. Girolamo bought 50 hectares of land ready to keep 12.300 grapes per hectare in order to obtain an high density vineyards.
